First Steps

1️⃣ Obtainaing your Bitquery API Key

Keep your API key confidential and do not share it with anyone to prevent unauthorized access.

1. Sign up for a Bitquery Account here.

2. After logging in, go to your account dashboard.

3. In the account dashboard, navigate to 'Applications'.

   
4. Create a new application by clicking on the 'New Application' button.

   
5. Provide a name for the application (any name) and set the access token lifespan (Recommended: 3 months)

   

   After creating an application, the application should appear.

   
6. Navigate to the 'Access Tokens' tab.

   
7. Generate an access token by selecting the name of the application you just created and clicking on 'Generate Access Token'.

   
8. Copy the newly generated access key for it to be used in POC v1

   

2️⃣ Install and Launch POC v1

Install and launch the application with one of the options below:

Docker Installation

Clone from Github Repository

3️⃣ Setting up POC v1

1. Navigate to the 'Settings' page.

   
2. Under the 'BitQuery API Key' section, click on 'Edit', paste your previously copied access token into the input field, and click on 'Submit'.

   
3. Finally, click on the 'Create' button under the 'Database' section to create your local database.

   

   After creating your database, you should have the option to reset or delete your local database.

   
4. Just like that, you are ready to start practicing! Happy paper trading! 🥳
